Football Injuries

Footballer of different abilities and ages suffer injury. Some footballing injuries are more serious than others. The injuries from football reprted to be the most frequent are: -

Thigh and Hip injuries

Hamstring strains - are three muscles at the back of the thigh usually injured when sprinting and suddenly chanaging driection or speed.

Groin Strain or adductor strains - damage to the muscles on the inside of the thigh.

Knee injuries

Medial mensicus injury - the cartilage type disc on the inside of you knee can be torn resulting in painful knee movement with an audible click.

Anterior cruciate ligament rupture - important ligament knee within the knee, crucial for knee stability.

- ligament on the inside of the knee giving the knee.

Ankle Injuries

Ankle sprain - a common football injury resulting from rolling the ankle through uneven ground or a tackle. The ligaments on the outside of the ankle are usually damaged.

Footballers ankle - occurs after repeatedly spraining  of the ankle  effecting the ligament and other soft tissue causing inflammation from the damages and potential bony deposits.
