Golfer's Elbow Treatment

Back2Fitness Sports & General Injury Clinics treat a wide range of elbow injuries or elbow pain. Elbow pain can be a result of many everyday activities and sports particularly the much referred to golf and tennis. The cause of elbow pain can also be referred from the neck, which our Sports Therapists can examine and treat.

When pain is experienced on the inside of the elbow it is referred to as Golfer's Elbow or Medial Epicondylitis. The pain and tenderness can be a reaction to ligament sprains, overuse, and direct trauma or referred symptoms.

The common cause of the pain is the muscle pull where they attach to the bone, resulting in them becoming inflamed, painful and tender.

Our Sports Therapists will examine and assess the elbow as well as potentially other contributing areas to identify the cause of the dysfunction and pain. Treatment will be dependent on the injury cause, consisting of soft tissue techniques, ultrasound and joint and/or vertebral mobilisation.

Clicking shoulders, annoying but not painful during your golf swing. It is likely to be a tight rotator cuff muscle. Our Sports Therapist can show you specific stretches and massage the area to reduce the problem affecting your golf swing.
