Pre-event Sports Massage

Pre-event massages are used to prepare athletes in the run up to events or competition. Massage warms the muscle, stretches the tissue increasing flexibility, reducing muscle tension, encouraging blood flow to muscle and aids psychological preparation increasing sporting performance.

Post-event Sports Massage

Post event massages reduces the impact of competition and training on fatigued muscles, minimising swelling, stretching the muscle to maintain flexibility, encourage blood flow to the muscles removing lactic acid and other waste products. The effects of post-event massage enable overall faster recovery and healing from activity, training or sport.
Injury Prevention Sports Massage

During all massages particularly pre and post event massages any development of an injury is prevented or treated as soon as possible. Many athletes we see at our Back2Fitness Injury Clinics come for maintenance massage. The injury prevention massage encourages recovery and preparation for training or/and competition whilst reducing the risk of injury.
